PURPOSE
Chapel Pointe is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to organize and implement various facility projects across our multiple sites that support our mission of transforming followers of Jesus. The Facilities Coordinator will be proactive, thriving in both team-based and independent work environments, managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail. They will organize facility operations, coordinate volunteer teams, respond to on-site maintenance needs, and foster a welcoming church environment. This role will support and enhance collaboration with various departments and volunteer groups in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Accountable to: Director of Projects and Maintenance
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate the organization and execution of facility projects across our various sites, ensuring they align with the church’s goals and maximize resources efficiently.
- Address routine maintenance and miscellaneous maintenance tasks as they arise, coordinating with appropriate staff or contractors to promptly resolve issues.
- On-site Maintenance Examples
- Plumbing | Sink replacements, declogging drains, replacing O-rings to prevent leaks, Installing toilets.
- Equipment Maintenance | Winterize lawn mowers, change oil for side-by-side & tractors, and replace vacuum belts, chair & table repairs.
- Construction | Build storage cabinets, mud, paint walls, hanging drywall, and carpet replacement.
- Cleaning | Cleaning unexpected messes such as carpet stains, spills, & more.
- Grounds | Sprinkle repairs, filling of ruts from plowing.
- On-site Maintenance Examples
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteer teams, fostering relationships to encourage a community-driven approach to facility projects.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to address problems related to project execution and facility maintenance.
- Work closely with staff, volunteers, and church members to ensure clear communication for smooth project execution across our multiple sites.
- Exhibit a willingness to learn new skills relevant to facility management and church operations.

Qualifications
- A background in trades such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC (Preferred- See examples below)
- Strong organizational skills with experience in scheduling and resource management.
- Ability to build and maintain volunteer relationships, fostering a supportive church community.
- Understanding of facility management, including routine maintenance and operational needs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment, taking initiative, and being able to pivot.
- Ability to problem-solve, working both independently and collaboratively.
