Description
Job Summary: The Community Relations Coordinator will plan, develop, implement, and analyze community relations campaigns, marketing efforts, and related events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains relationships with members of the community.
- Plans develops, implements, and organizes events and volunteers to advance the company's mission and goals.
- Organizes community outreach programs and coordinates special events that influence public opinion or promote the company's products, services, or ideas.
- Uses social media to coordinate community relations.
- Receives application verification documents and enters them into the file electronically.
- Drafts and distributes/publishes various content pieces that promote the company and individuals or groups within the company.
- Selects positive publicity materials and distributes them through a variety of channels.
- Responds to inquiries from community members and other interested parties; recruit a knowledgeable spokesperson or information source to assist when needed.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes special events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least two years of work in public relations OR at least two years of work in a field related to the company preferred.
Special Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work exceptionally well in a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism.
