Job Description:
Charleston Grounds Management is looking for a skilled and results-oriented Business Development and Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, independently managing the sales process from property measurements to bid preparation, and building relationships with key clients. Experience with Aspire Landscape Software is preferred but not required, as long as the candidate demonstrates strong proficiency in managing property evaluations and proposals independently.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve a $1.5 to 2 million annual sales target.
- Identify and engage new prospects, focusing on HOAs, industrial complexes, and property management companies.
- Prepare and present proposals and close contracts independently.
Property Assessment and Bidding:
- Conduct property measurements, gather all necessary site information, and independently prepare accurate and competitive bids.
- Utilize Aspire Landscape Software to streamline the bidding process.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact throughout the sales and service lifecycle.
- Proactively identify client needs and recommend tailored solutions.
Industry Knowledge:
- Leverage expertise in landscaping, construction, or property management to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and best practices.
Reporting and Collaboration:
- Maintain detailed records of all sales activities, client interactions, and bid processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in sales or business development, ideally in landscaping, construction, or property management.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in conducting property assessments and preparing bids independently.
- Familiarity with Aspire Landscape Software is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

- Understanding of the unique needs of HOAs, industrial complexes, and property management companies.
- Background in landscaping, construction, or a related field.
