Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Economic Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, research, and technical skills to support our mission of enhancing workforce initiatives through data-driven insights. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape economic strategies, forecast trends, and contribute to meaningful development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize business intelligence tools, such as PowerBI dashboards, to track workforce trends and performance metrics.
  • Conduct in-depth economic research, utilizing quantitative methods to predict market trends and labor market conditions.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify key insights and inform decision-making processes.
  • Provide technical expertise in the management of data-centric projects, ensuring accurate data collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Produce comprehensive reports, dashboards, and publications that highlight labor market trends, economic forecasts, and workforce developments.
  • Assist in the drafting and preparation of grant proposals, funding requests, and strategic planning documents.
  • Contribute to the success of economic development projects by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analytical support for various projects, aligning data analysis with organizational goals.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (3-5 years) in economic research, data analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in economic analysis, market research, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Stata for statistical and econometric analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and interpret large, complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools like PowerBI is an advantage.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience in grant writing and economic development projects is a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
