Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in Neuroscience, working with students to improve their knowledge or career skills;
- Develop course outlines and/or syllabi for courses taught and ensure courses meet Chatham University standards;
- Plan lessons and assignments;
- Facilitate and moderate classroom discussions drawing from assignments, current events, and theories on practical application;
- Assess students' progress by grading and evaluating assignments, papers, comprehensive exams, and other work;
- Conduct research in the field;
- Stay informed on changes and innovations in the field by engaging in program, university, and professional service activities;
- Participate in lectures and conference programs;
- Periodically perform admission activities, including student recruitment and interviewing.
Requirements:
- Requires Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience, Pathobiology, Pathology, Neuropathology, or foreign degree equivalent and 1 year of experience in job offered or as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroscience, Neuropathology, Pathology or Pathobiology. Experience must include postdoctoral research projects studying the effects of chronic stress on neurophysiological, neuropathological, and neuropsychological processes. Evidence of scholarly research and publications relevant to the field of neuroscience, pathobiology, pathology, or neuropathology.
