Overview

The EPA intervention is an evidence-supported service model forming part of a comprehensive, statewide family support services continuum that will provide supportive and educational in-home services for parents/caregivers. EPA will provide parents/caregivers with individualized family support, effective parenting skills and strategies, and teach them about enhanced social connections, social-emotional competency, child safety, and child development.

 

The Visitation and Reunification services are therapeutic treatment programs in Ocean ad Mercer Counties for parents who have had their children removed from their care as a result of abuse or neglect. The purpose of the programs is to make the earliest, most appropriate permanency plan for children in placement in an effort to avoid the harmful emotional effects of unplanned, long term foster-care.

 

Overview: The Program Administrator will be responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the effective delivery of services, including services aimed at supporting EPA families in Monmouth, Mercer, and Ocean Counties. This position is part of the EPA Program, which aims to strengthen families through parent education, support, and case management in the homes of at-risk families.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:  In collaboration with DCF and National Exchange Club (NEC), develop and implement strategic plans that are in alignment with EPA’s mission, goals and agency accreditation process.

Program Development and Management: Oversee the agency’s development, implementation.

Financial Oversight: • Develop and manage the agency's EPA budget in collaboration with the finance team.

Staff Supervision and Development: • Effectively supervise Program Manager/Supervisor. Provide clinical support to the entire program.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Administer and supervise trauma informed and trauma focused clinical services working with families involved with the child welfare system.
  • Coordinate and facilitate case conferences and Family Team Meetings with the different DCP&P Local Offices and other formal supports.
  • Work directly with Human Resources in the recruitment process. Hire, evaluate, and train staff. Handle all personnel issues including corrective action, disciplinary, and termination processes.
  • Provide clinical supervision for up to 6 LSW/LACs. Provide administrative supervision to non-clinical staff. Keep records of supervision as required by the licensing boards. Review and process workers’ monthly reports, statistics and paperwork. Responsible for program development and program accountability, including development of program goals and objectives.
  • Assist in setting up and conducting training programs, planning meetings, writing manuals of procedure, developing policy and carrying out evaluation.
  • Mediate grievances by clients regarding programs and program personnel in accordance with established CHSofNJ Policy and Procedures.

Qualifications

Education and License Requirements: Master's degree in social work with a LCSW or LICSW and five years’ experience managing a program.
