Position Summary
We are seeking an entry level engineer or engineering student that wants to develop real world experiences in manufacturing engineering. You will work with both the engineering team and members of manufacturing to improve current processes as well as assure work instructions and process procedures are current and sufficient. You will have opportunities to help develop new products and processes.
What makes you great for this role
- Proficient in observing and documenting observations as it relates to process procedures and continuous improvement.
- Able to work with cross-functional teams to set objectives and achieve results.
- Strong communication skills with both team members and production personnel.
- Experience in CAD / CAM and inspection processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems and Statistical Controls is a plus.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Generate work instructions and process procedures to standardize production processes.
- Assist in training and auditing processes to work instructions.
- Assist in DOE as assigned and generate associated reports.
- Participate in or lead projects for Six Sigma, Lean, 5S or Kaizen events.
- Assist in validating quality controls, quality reporting metrics and evaluating cause and corrective actions.
