What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Specialist position at Christian Life Center?
The primary responsibility of the Facilities Specialist is to provide excellent customer service to the staff and attendees of Christian Life Center by keeping the facility safe, clean, and fully functional. The Facilities Specialist reports to the Facilities Director.
Classification: Part-Time
The person in this role will do the following:
- Assure presentation of all setups are the best that can be offered for any event.
- Responsible primarily for setups and tear-downs of gatherings, meetings and special events
- Responsible for trash removal throughout the building
- Responsible for cleaning the building
- Responsible to keeping the parking lot clean throughout the week and on weekends
- Completes light maintenance when required
- Responsible for receiving deliveries and shipments as required
- Responsible for opening and closing facilities for the day or night as scheduled
- Works weekly events and special events as scheduled
- Completes all projects as assigned
- Mindful of the cleanliness of the building and grounds, being willing to step in when needed
- Help troubleshoot maintenance issues while immediately reporting the problem to the Facilities Director or maintaining the repair yourself.
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks and lift 40 lbs.
The person in this role will need to know or possess the following:
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Basic carpentry and repair skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills for maintenance management systems
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to respond to emergency situations and perform tasks outside of regular hours"
