Job Title: Electrical Estimator
This is a full-time, exempt, salary position.
Location - Circle’s corporate office - Butler, WI.
Job Summary:
Circle is looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator with strong design build experience in commercial, industrial, and medical to join our growing team. Circle Electric has an amazing culture with collaborative team members who work together to consistently complete high quality projects for our customers. The objective of this Estimator position is to find, create, and capitalize on project opportunities. We are looking for someone who is detailed, organized, and thrives on pre-planning and coordinating with other team members for overall project success. Come help Circle Electric grow!
Responsibilities:
- Read, analyze, and interpret bid requests and quotes, technical procedures, specifications, and all documents and drawings for engineered and conceptual projects.
- Effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and team members.
- Provide ongoing input for improvement of the estimating database.
- Responsible for accurate quantity takeoff, according to project deadlines.
- Responsible for developing cost-effective bills of material, for timely submission to vendors, to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to design electrical layout of feeders, lighting, branch circuits, and other electrical components.
- Design and estimate electrical projects, typically up to $5 million.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and quality driven – capable of working independently with a high level of professionalism.
- Willingness to follow Circle Electric’s estimating process.
- Basic electrical and National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical estimating experience.
- WI Designer’s license and/or design build experience a plus.
- 2 year technical degree and/or 5 years electrical field experience preferred.
- Experience using Trimble's estimating software, Estimation, preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite required, AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination for accurate data entry and reading of project plans and specifications.
- Good hearing and speaking ability for effective communication with clients, contractors, and team members.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of materials, such as project documents, plans, and equipment.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and climb as needed to complete project walkthroughs.
