Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Douglas Medical Center's Specialty Clinic, Gastroenterology.

As a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our Gastroenterology Clinic you will be responsible for meeting the gastroenterology needs of our patients. From diagnostic evaluation to digestive disease management, our providers and staff are widely talented and we pride ourselves on the excellent care we provide to our patients! The Gastroenterology Clinic shares space with the Infectious Disease and General Surgery Clinic, promoting collaboration, conversation and teamwork. Here in our clinic, we celebrate wins, value differences, and have fun!

A typical day will include: Patient triage, assisting with medication refills, authorizations, and questions (under the supervision of a qualified nurse); appropriately documenting the medical record; completing and file forms correctly; coordinating patient care; understanding and complying with CMH policies and procedures related to medical legal matters, including confidentiality, release of information, and informed consent; support front office staff when needed; occasionally may be required to float to other clinics or positions as needed and assist in lab duties.

This position is: Full-time, Days

• Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Rotating Every Other Friday

• Education: Medical assistant program completion
• Skills: Patient care
• License: CMA, CCMA, RMA, LPN
