What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer - Youth Sports Coach position at City of Apache Junction?

Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week, or as assigned
Days of Work Week: Monday through Saturday
Hours: Weekday evenings and weekend days
Age: 16 years of age and older
Location: Various Sports Facilities Previous experience and knowledge of sports coaching is desired; mandatory training will be provided. Volunteers eighteen (18) years of age or older who are accepted for the assignment will be required to successfully complete a criminal background report.

Knowledge
- Communicate clearly and concisely (both verbally and in writing)
- Knowledge of city and department procedures, policies, and guidelines
- Convey a positive, friendly attitude, work pleasantly with staff, patrons, and other volunteers.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures; receive instruction from Parks and Rec staff
- Work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
- Ability to lift and move objects as needed
