Essential Functions: -- Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinates the requisition, storage, distribution and general accounting of all supplies and materials kept in the warehouse for the City.
Oversees the maintenance of a clean warehouse area and ensures efficient operations and distribution; ensures proper maintenance of records incidental of inventory, receipt of goods, and issuance of stock.
Supervises, counsels, directs, and monitors warehouse clerks to ensure organized and well-kept facilities and operations; provides training and education.
Reviews, evaluates, and checks incoming supplies against invoices or purchase orders and files requisitions or forwards to proper location; monitors quantity, quality, and condition of goods received for conformity to purchase order specifications.
Prepares supplies and materials for shipment; maintains perpetual inventory and warehouse records involving a moderately large and varied stock of items for stock ordering purposes.
Drafts, edits, and submits requisitions for stock replacements; consults and advises supervisor as to changes in inventory levels; coordinates annual inventory.
Organizes and participates in the taking on physical inventory; enters information from verbal or written sources into the computer or onto proper forms; makes routine entries into log, ledger, or journal to record the receipt or status of materials or information; composes correspondence or memoranda to communicate or request information.
Determines totals, costs, rates, discounts, etc.; gathers and compiles information needed for purchase orders, billing statements, invoices, etc. by telephone, memos, letters, or personal visits to various agencies.
Prepares purchase orders, records vendors in automated vendor file, prepares bid documentation, and calculates costs of inventories; maintains vehicle part inventory.
Communicates with the public or other employees to provide data or to respond to requests or complaints; provides backup for other clerks or office personnel in order to ensure smooth warehouse functioning.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment:
A valid State driver's license is required.
Does this position require a Commercial Driver's License? Yes
Type: Obtain and maintain Class B CDL within 6 months of hire date.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED PLUS three (3) years' experience performing general stockroom and inventory functions on an automated inventory system; OR Two (2) years' experience in clerical or accounting work along with two (2) years of experience in gas distribution, maintenance, service or installation preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Salary : $52,610 - $84,176
