General Description
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wishes to gain additional experience. Under general supervision, Playground Leaders are responsible for planning a variety of daily and weekly activities along with special events held throughout the summer at various park locations in the City of De Pere. Teachers are encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule: June 9 - August 15, 2025; Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Evening hours on occasion). Approximately 29 hours per week (Hours subject to change.) In-service will be scheduled prior to the start of the playground program. Flexible scheduling may be available.
Playground Site Locations: Braisher, Optimist, Kiwanis and Patriot Parks
Applications will be reviewed as they are received.

Essential Functions
- Plan and lead a variety of daily and weekly activities for children.
- Plan, organize and implement special events throughout the summer.
- Maintain appropriate safety measures for program participants.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Be self-motivated; have experience with children, games, sports, arts and crafts, group activities, and program planning
- Have the ability to make good judgment
- Work effectively with the general public
- Be able to carry out written and oral instructions
Minimum Requirements & Physical Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- One year of college or technical school preferred. Education majors/teachers encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with school aged children, planning games and group activities, desired.
