The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for an Electrician to perform electrical installation and maintenance, in and around City of Fayetteville facilities. Have knowledge in all areas of the electrical code; and excel in analyzing and solving problems with various electrical controls and systems. Lead, oversee, and participate in the more complex electrical repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain, repair and test electrical equipment and devices for the generation of electrical energy for the City of Fayetteville.
- Implementation of energy efficient solutions that add to the improved energy savings and safe operation of facilities.
- Lead, plan, train, and review work of staff responsible for providing building maintenance services relating to semi-skilled and electrical work.
- Operate various mechanical tools and equipment required for electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Maintain, repair and install minor electrical lighting systems and fixtures throughout city facilities, to include administration buildings, parks, ball fields, fire stations, police stations and special events.
- Install a variety of electrical circuits for equipment.
- Participate in a variety of activities requiring travel that include off-site inspections and repairs.
- Assist in designing, arranging setting up, and disassembling electrical layouts for special events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Four years of experience in electrical trades.
Training:
Equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in a field related to the area of assignment.
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability.
Preferred:
A valid Journeyman or Masters licenses.
