This is a highly administrative and professional position assisting the Housing Administrator in the day-to-day functioning of the housing and community development grants managed by the office.

Employee supervises professional, technical, and clerical employees in a variety of projects. Manages various Housing and Community development grant programs for the City of Pensacola Housing Department, to include federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program, and other local, state, or federal funding targeted for low and moderate income housing and community development activities. Employee directs and manages staff in development and implementation of housing and community development programs.

Work is performed under the direction of the Housing Administrator, but the position requires the application of considerable independent judgment and initiative in carrying out assignments to a successful conclusion. Work is assigned and evaluated by the Housing Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Economic Development, Finance, Real Estate, Community Development, Urban/Regional Planning, or related field; and Three (3) years of progressively responsible and pertinent experience with housing or community development grant management; or combination of training, education, and/or work experience equal to or higher than the requirements listed above as determined by Human Resources.
