The City is now accepting applications for the position of Parks Seasonal Technician (6-8 months).
Under the general direction of a lead operator, seasonal technicians may perform any of the following responsibilities.
- Prepare and maintain athletic fields for city and league recreational sports;
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, materials, and supplies to worksites;
- Collect debris in parks, athletic fields and courts, landscaped areas, parking lots, and agency owned properties and transport to disposal site, clean park facilities;
- Monitor, evaluate and inspect park grounds, equipment, and amenities. Report any safety concerns and repair needs to supervisor;
- Interact with the public in a respectable manner that promotes good customer service;
- Assist in other duties as assigned within the Parks and Recreation department.
Basic familiarity with various types of equipment and the ability to use landscape equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Applicants must be in sufficient condition to perform physical labor in all types of weather conditions with the ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain cooperative working relationships. Applicants interested in this position must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age.
Final candidates will be required to successfully complete an online background check and pass a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of hire.
Hourly pay: $15.00
