TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month
SALARY: $15/hour with increase based on previous experience
FLSA EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Work in this classification is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree, or completion of 48 semester hours of college credits, or successful completion of a series of assessments plus earn 96 contact hours of appropriate staff development
- Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises students in a behavior management program who have been assigned to In School Suspension by the principal
- Regulates an atmosphere encouraging students not to make a repeat visit
- Provides class work to be completed during their stay in the planning room. Coordinator has to declare the student ready to go back to class before they can leave
- Coordinator must be firm, fair and rigid
- Coordinator must understand successful non-confrontational behavior intervention strategies, and cannot be easy to anger. Students in the planning room will often exhibit anger and disrespect and may become confrontational
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
PHYSICAL & COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to:
