Quality Engineer

Cleveland-Cliffs is currently seeking a Quality Engineer at our Mansfield, OH plant. The Quality Engineer is accountable for performing technical review of customer specifications and purchase orders to ensure that products meet customer requirements.

Summary Of Responsibilities

• Maintain and control data inputs to metallurgical systems
• Investigate and resolve customer order problems relating to manufacturing and customer material
• Assist various departments to resolve technical product issues
• Support Sales Order Entry processes (RFQ, Spec Review, and Capability)
• Develop Routing to meet Customer Specifications
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing of products
• Product development trials for processing
• Disposition non-conforming material
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy/Material Science or other related discipline
• Extensive computer skills
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years’ experience in steel processing, steelmaking or industrial environment
