We are continuing to grow and are looking for a Manager, MAIOR NA Deployment to join our team. 

The Manager directs dedicated project resources and coordinates with cross-departmental resources for what is necessary to execute project and product needs. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the deployment of scheduling projects assigned to their team and the support of scheduling initiative when combined with other projects. Coordination and Communication with an international development team to ensure expectations and customer success are achieved.

The candidate should be a highly experienced leader and have an in-depth technical understanding of information technology applications in the various areas of transit with an emphasis on Scheduling and Operations systems as well as experience in project management, quality and testing methodologies, and project completion. The Manager is responsible for supporting business development, project management, product management, software development, and staff development. As other leadership positions at the company, this is a player/coach position. We expect the candidate to be the lead, managing the complex projects and ensuring a high level of quality of services provided by the team.

The right candidate should have strong entrepreneurial character. We are looking for an individual who can set targets for completion and work with our dynamic group to achieve them.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Scheduling portfolio of projects, services, and customers in post-deployment support status
  • Work closely with cross functional departments (Deployment, Engineering, Design, Installation, and Field Service) to ensure successful execution of projects
  • Established a working relationship with the customer’s stakeholders and maintains good communication correspondence with all customers
  • Manages applicable technology and quality assurance of assigned projects
  • Manages financial schedule performance of portfolio 
  • Manages the time and priority of the team resources that are responsible for project deployments to remain on schedule and within scope
  • Oversees management of full project lifecycles and ensures each aspect of the projects are completed as per customer expectations
  • Coordinates with Business Development and Account Managers to further sales opportunities
  • May coordinate proposal preparation, including standards of work and specifications, estimation of product and service costs.
  • May participate in negotiation and administration of contracts
  • Travel required for onsite at customers facility 30-40% of the time including travel abroad.
  • Adhere to PMD policies and procedures in order to maintain standards of project management as they pertain to scheduling deployments
  • Enforce standard operating procedures and best practices for the team

Skills Required:

  • 4 years of experience as a Project Manager in a technical or engineering environment
  • Prior experience in a management or leadership role
  • Project Management Professional (PMP certification) 
  • Strategic business focus and understanding; customer-focused perspective 
  • Successful candidate will have a history of developing and maintaining effective business relationships with clients and peers. 
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project. Has the ability to learn new software programs as needed.
  • Long-term focus and ability to make strategic recommendations and decisions surrounding difficult, complex and critical issues 
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills; ability to build an open environment where conflicts as to project priorities and funding decisions can be aired and resolved in an objective manner 
  • High level understanding of technical and integration concepts as related to the industry and products/services of the company
  • Strong team building and employee development mentality
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communications, presentation and persuasive skills
  • Fluent in English

 

Skills Desired:

  • Masters degree in MIS or MBA preferred
  • Fluent in Italian
