Who we are seeking:

We are looking for a Help Desk Specialist to provide technical support and resolve issues for our internal users.

You have great organization and communication skills.

You work independently and as part of a team. You take the initiative and hold yourself accountable.

You bring diverse perspectives and approaches to the team, enjoy the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, sectors, and identities, and foster strong relationships with internal customers (your colleagues).

You have proficient knowledge of systems such as Windows 10 and later versions, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams

You possess valuable trouble-shooting skills that allows you to find resolution to different IT challenges

You take initiative to educate and increase the knowledge of end-users, providing excellent internal customer service while doing so

You bring a passion for mission-driven work in the entrepreneurship and community development fields.

In this role:

You will Administer the ticketing system; creating and managing service requests and incidents.

You will provide desktop and application support, and user support, training and education.

You will perform computer provisioning, deployment, and maintenance

You will create and manage user accounts

You will perform virus and malware remediation

You will troubleshoot Wi-Fi and Network connectivity issues

You will create or maintain documentation for user education and IT procedures.

Preferred candidates will have:

High School Diploma

A minimum of one year of experience in an inbound, customer support role, supporting Windows desktops.

Effective communication skills – specifically you have the ability to convey technical language to end users with varying degrees of IT expertise and abilities.

Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and critical thinking skills

Responsive and able to prioritize multiple tasks

Windows 10 or later versions experience

Microsoft Office 365 experience

Microsoft Entra ID experience is a plus

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Other details:

This is a full-time 37.5-hours-per-week, non-exempt position with excellent benefits and generous time off. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $24.50 - $26.50 dependent on experience and qualifications. We work in a hybrid model, two days in the office, and three days at home. This position is based out of our headquarters in Brunswick, ME, and Tuesdays is our anchor, in-office day for all CEI. Th second in-office day can be flexible, depending on the needs of the team, your personal needs, and with supervisor approval.
