Coastal Health islooking for a motivated and career-orientedPhlebotomist/ Medical Assistant to join our growing team team! Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples.

Prepare equipment to efficiently collect blood products.
Perform venous, arterial and capillary punctures on patients.
Identify and label all samples collected with correct patient information.
Checking insurance,acquiring authorizations, diagnosis coding,and other pertinent information.
Verify insurance and schedule patient appointments.
Clean counters, draw chairs, and equipmentdaily.
Restocks supplies daily.
Prepares all samples for Reference Labs including bagging, signing off, creating manifest and processing for courier retrieval Maintain an accurate log of daily draws.
Notifies Technologist/Technician of all STAT samples to be performed.
Takes Vital Signs
Recording Medical History
Assisting Physician
Stocking/ Cleaning Rooms
Delivers reports to the Clinician as needed Maintains patient confidentiality.
Perform related work as requested by the Team Lead or Office Manager.
Current Certification in Phlebotomy Required.
ClinicalExperience Preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in phlebotomy or related field preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Medical Assistant Experience
- Experience in a medical clinic preferred.
