Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst with a strong background in the Manufacturing domain and expertise in ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in understanding and bridging business requirements with technology solutions to optimize and support manufacturing processes. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of ERP solutions commonly used in manufacturing, along with in-depth experience with key technologies and systems that drive efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within this industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders in the manufacturing domain to gather, analyze, and validate requirements for ERP systems.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for ERP enhancements and new implementation projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and operational requirements.
Lead and manage ERP implementation and upgrade projects from inception to post-go-live support, coordinating across various departments, including Production, Inventory, Quality Control, and Supply Chain.
Conduct process analysis to identify areas of improvement in manufacturing operations, proposing ERP-based solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ERP systems with other key manufacturing technologies and platforms.
Provide expert support and troubleshooting for ERP systems, handling complex issues and facilitating training sessions to upskill end-users.
Analyze data from ERP systems to generate insights for business decisions, including forecasting, production planning, and inventory management.
Prepare documentation, including functional specifications, user guides, and training materials, to support ERP system users and IT teams.
Stay updated on ERP advancements and industry trends to ensure the organization's ERP system remains competitive and relevant.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or additional certifications in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, etc.) is a plus.
15 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with at least 10 years in the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience with ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor LN, specifically in manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of key manufacturing processes, including Production Planning, Inventory Management, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, and Order Management.
Proficiency in key technologies used within the manufacturing ERP domain, including:
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES): GE Proficy, Siemens SIMATIC IT, Rockwell FactoryTalk.
Supply Chain Management Software: SAP SCM, Oracle SCM Cloud, JDA Software.
Business Intelligence Tools: Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, IBM Cognos.
Integration Tools: MuleSoft, Boomi, IBM Integration Bus, Microsoft Azure Logic Apps.
Database Management Systems: Oracle DB, SQL Server, MySQL.
Solid knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools, with experience generating reports to support business decisions.
Strong project management skills, with experience using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or relevant ERP certifications (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Experience in Change Management and user training programs.
Knowledge of cloud-based ERP solutions and emerging technologies in the manufacturing sector, such as IoT and Industry 4.0.
