Danelle & Cody moved from Cut Bank, Montana to Coeur d’Alene in 1992 and have raised 2 boys here. The majority of the coffee shop was hand-built by the family of 4, making it an even more special place. CDA Coffee Co houses 2 beautiful top-of-the-line Slayer espresso machines, as well as our Diedrich roaster, made locally in Sandpoint, Idaho, that enables us to roast fresh coffee daily. Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the cafe
- Oversee scheduling, payroll data, employee relations, hiring, onboarding, training, development, evaluation, corrective action and terminations.
- Orders, receives and breaks down loads.
- Stocks, displays and rotates product to ensure compliance with vendor and Company requirements on quality, temperature, cleanliness, selection, display and proper inventory level to meet customer demands.
- Creates effective displays for coffee, cups, pastry and other related merchandise in the coffee bar.
- Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)
- Monitor and drive increased sales
- Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
- Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with guests and deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
- Follow and execute company policies and procedures
- Implement and train the Point of Sale system.
- Answers and responds to incoming calls/emails appropriately.
- Receives and appropriately resolves customer complaints
- Created relationships with our wholesale customers as well as fulfill and deliver orders
- Work barista shifts when needed, such as covering sick time, vacation time and filling in when needed

Requirements
- Work experience as a Manager and Barista
- Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
- Good math skills / attention to detail
- Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays and events)
- On call for emergencies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Customer service attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation
- Starting DOE $5/hr avg. tips
- Paid parking
- Up to 40 hours of paid vacation / year
