Job Description
The Store Manager Candidate will support the Store Manager in implementing all store processes, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, and customer service leadership. This position is designed to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager role and will be held for a limited period.
Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
- Support store merchandising by facilitating and/or participating in staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise
- Assist in all aspects of inventory management, including proper execution of damages, markdowns, and register scanning
- Follow prescribed ordering practices to ensure meeting or exceeding in-stock targets
- Provide superior customer service leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates
Working Conditions
This position requires frequent walking and standing, as well as occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds and occasional climbing using a ladder. The fast-paced environment may expose you to moderate noise levels.
