Summary
Performs general cleaning and upkeep in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors, and others as necessary. Performs related duties as required.

• Provides general custodial services for all CCS facilities as directed
• Identifies areas and equipment that require maintenance and notifies supervisor
• Performs preventative maintenance as directed
• Provides winter clean up and snow removal from walkways and steps as directed
• Readies the CCS facility for CCS functions as directed
• Assists with deliveries to CCS as directed
• Picks up materials, equipment, and supplies as needed as directed.
• Enforces the CCS Student Code of Conduct, the CCS Uniform Code, and the CCS Computer Usage Code
• Promotes good citizenship through actions as a role model
• Conducts himself or herself according to professional, ethical principles that reflect favorably upon the individual and the school
• Maintains highest level of confidentiality pertaining to school and students’ information, progress, and records
• Assumes other responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or school administrator
• Abides by the CCS Employee Manual, CCS policies and procedures, and all current PA Public School expectations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic computer operations
• Required Clearances include Criminal Background Clearance (Act 34), Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151), and FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114), all dated within one year of receipt
• Meets criteria for employment in a PA Public School

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead
• Ability to lift up to 150 pounds utilizing appropriate equipment
• Must be able to use both hands for repetitive motions
• Some bending and twisting of the body are required
• Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Noise level in the work environment is usually mild to moderate depending on the specific site

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
