A day in the life of a Maintenance Technician at Colleton River:
You’ll be performing a variety of maintenance tasks in service, installation, and repair within the various areas (plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine, and electrical servicing)
A team player for this opportunity must be knowledgeable of general maintenance procedures and safety measures in each area. It’s essential that you become familiar with, and practice assignments as outlined in the Departmental SOP.

You’re willing & able to:
- Make repairs and provide service in the following areas: electrical, mechanical, structural, & plumbing systems, door & window hardware, furniture, roofing, ceilings, walls, floors, windows, carpets, lighting, and some other systems and components related to commercial facilities maintenance. Power washing is a regular duty.
- Assist in set up, take down, and moving of event-related equipment & components as needed.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance repairs in the Rental Cottages.
- Demonstrate ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Complete all work and related paperwork in a timely manner.
- Exhibit skills and strength required for power washing.
- Display a sense of urgency and effective time management with all tasks.
- Demonstrate knowledge and attention to detail in work duties, using safe work practices at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment as required.
- Consistently display the ability to use tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance as directed or following an established maintenance schedule.
- Demonstrate openness and willingness to learn new skills and processes, showing a commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement.
- Take independent action as issues are observed; ask for and offer help as needed.
- Demonstrate effective use of work order system on a smartphone after training.
- Do any additional duties as requested by the Director of Facilities Maintenance.
- Adhere to uniform guidelines and maintain a well-groomed, positive professional image at all times.
- To be flexible to adjust work schedule to business needs.
- Comply with all service, teamwork, safety, and dependability expectations as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.

Lifestyle Schedule:
Full-time: Sunday - Thursday (8:00am - 4:30pm)
Pay Rate:
$16.00 to $20.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, work environment, and ability required.
- High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building hardware repair, etc.
- General Maintenance work skills and experience in a Club environment are preferred.
- Commercial painting and power washing experience are preferred.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that is within company requirements.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear and Eye protection should be used when working on equipment where needed.
- There is frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk,
- Perform most duties while standing or sitting.
- Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Ability to work safely from ladders.
- Ear and Eye protection should be used when working in an environment where needed.
