Student Leadership and Wellness Coordinator

Pay: $44,000 to $46,000 (Pay range may vary based on geographic location)

Job Summary:
The Student Leadership and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of a wide range of student activities & events, leadership trainings, and community service programs. The Coordinator has oversight for training and supporting student clubs and organizations, developing and teaching leadership programming, planning some of the division’s signature events, and other tasks related to student involvement, service and leadership education. Coordinator will also collaborate with internal and external partners to lead wellness initiatives.
- Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the Student Affairs Department.
- Assist with the administration, recruitment, and delivery of an emerging leaders program.
- Advise, support, and provide training for student clubs and organizations.
- Develop and maintain supportive relationships with advisors for student organizations, and serve as a resource for those individuals.
- Coordinate Hey Day, an annual campus/community involvement fair.
- Chair the College’s Homecoming Committee for planning and coordination of the annual events, and advise the student Homecoming Planning Committee.
- Chair the Annual Night of Recognition Committee that coordinates nominations, marketing, and all aspects of event planning to recognize the accomplishments of our student organizations and leaders.
- Serve as college’s primary liaison for Partners in Prevention (PIP) grant, representing the college at required meetings and trainings while ensuring full compliance with statewide program requirements and deadlines.
- Lead the implementation of PIP initiatives by coordinating with stakeholders, managing data collection efforts, and overseeing prevention programming aligned with grant objectives
- Develop and maintain documentation including strategic plans and annual reports, analyzing wellness program effectiveness and outcomes.
- Support major college functions, including but not limited to Registration Day, Welcome Week, College Visitation events, Ivy Chain, Commencement, and Late Night Breakfast.
- Serve on division and college committees as requested.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Relevant experience in program planning and group facilitation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and relate to all college constituents.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in program planning and group facilitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Student Affairs, Education, or related area.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in student activities, leadership development, teaching/advising, program planning and/or event management, wellness and prevention.

- This position requires varied work hours, including some evenings, and weekends.
