JOB SUMMARY
Perform daily maintenance and preventive maintenance on all vehicles and ground support equipmnent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify trucks and ground support equipment; including hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems used in the support of CTS operations;
- Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air;
- Repair and maintain gas and/or diesel engines;
- Perform tune ups and prep vehicles for California smog test;
- Perform services and PM on all trucks and equipment;
- Diagnose problems using equipment, and applicable manuals;
- Remove, test, repair or replace components and accessories such as carburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners;
- Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment;
- Ensure all required paperwork is complete and turned in;
- Maintain a clean shop area;
- Follow company safety policies and procedures;
- Must be able to meet the CTS attendance policy;
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent conbination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisor, as well as other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, mnultiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver's license and other FAA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
