Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall management and operations of residential properties. Duties
- Assist the Property Manager in daily operations and management of the property.
- Handle tenant inquiries and complaints with professionalism and effective phone etiquette.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and lease agreements.
- Support lease negotiations and renewals, including understanding Section 8 requirements.
- Assist in managing vendor contracts and oversee service delivery to ensure compliance with agreements.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance work orders.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager on budget preparation and expense tracking.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Skills
- Proficient in facilities management principles and practices.
- Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and vendor contracts.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
- Experience in legal administrative tasks related to property management.
- Knowledge of property maintenance processes and best practices.
- Excellent sales skills to effectively market available units to prospective tenants.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
