Communities In Schools is the nations largest dropout prevention organization bringing coordinated, integrated student services into public schools to meet the needs of at-risk students. Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Communities In Schools | Pennsylvania (CISPA) is comprised of four affiliates, serving more than 90 schools sites, and a state office in Harrisburg. In 2012, CISPA served over 24,800 students, and 71% of improved attendance, 81% improved attitude, 83% improved behavior, and 73% improved academic performance! Since 2011/2012, CISPA has facilitated programs for Pennsylvania Schools and Community Coalitions addressing the need for drug and alcohol prevention throughout our communities. More
