We are looking for someone who has experience with 2, 3 or 4 year olds and has a background education in early childhood. A CDA or an Associate Degree in early childhood education is a plus! Experience teaching UPK is also a plus! As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow and play. Your role will involve developing age-appropriate lesson plans, implementing curriculum, and providing a safe and engaging classroom experience for children.
Start Date: September 2024
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote early childhood development through play.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for children
- Provide age-appropriate activities and experiences that encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate classroom activities
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Associate and/or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or CDA(preferred)
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong understanding of curriculum development for young learners
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to engage and connect with children on an individual level
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in working with diverse learners
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for students with special needs is a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
