Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and preparing treatment areas.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and medical history.
- Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, endodontics, pediatrics, and medical coding to provide comprehensive support.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and X-ray procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Experience in specific areas such as endodontics or pediatrics will be considered an advantage.
- A commitment to continuous professional development in dental assisting practices is essential.
