Our spacious 18-acre campus serves children from 8 weeks to 15 years of age. Our Montessori trained Guides bring the vision of Maria Montessori to life every day. Each classroom environment at CMS holds the full complement of Montessori materials for that age level. At CMS, children, parents and school come together to cultivate a community of curious and compassionate learners where collaboration thrives and every voice is heard. Weve been educating the whole child since 1981. WHO IS MARIA MONTESSORI? Maria Montessori was an Italian physician, educator & innovator who developed an educational method which follows the way children naturally learn & develop. Dr. Montessori opened her first school the Casa dei Bambini or Childrens House in 1907 in the city of Rome. Internationally acclaimed for the success of her method, Dr. Montessori traveled the world, writing extensively about her educational approach and training others in her method, until her death in 1952. There are now more than 4,000 Montessori schools in the United States and Maria Montessoris method is embraced and practiced in at least 110 countries worldwide. More
