RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all finished goods labeling, filling, packaging, and case sealing procedures in an efficient manner.
- Evaluate current processes, procedures, and systems for improvement opportunities and make recommendations to senior management.
- Recommend measures to improve packaging methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and / or improve safety of the department.
- Implement, monitor, and maintain packaging key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Promote the behaviors and principles that drive continuous improvement.
- Enforce all safety and GMP rules and regulations and take prompt corrective action concerning any potential human or food safety hazards.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure efficient packaging operations.
- Write, review, and train team on packaging SOPs.
- Track and report packaging yields using the Vorne software.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Supervisors to go over schedule changes, machine installations, and work to be completed.
- Review previous month's performance and verify labor accuracy.
- Support new product lines and process development as needed.
- Spend at least 60% of time on the production floor.
- Assist with supervising indirect staff as needed, which includes Operators and Packers.
