Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, taking thorough histories and vital signs, and documenting findings in patient charts.
- Equip examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring readiness for procedures.
- Conduct venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other specified procedures.
- Administer immunizations and other injections as directed.
- Provide patient education and guidance on health management.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners in preparing for minor surgeries and physical examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient files and records, adhering to necessary regulations.
- Monitor medical supply levels and facilitate ordering when necessary.
- Engage with patients post-discharge to review health plans and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
- Uphold a commitment to cultural competence in delivering healthcare services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
- Proficient patient care and clinical skills, including the ability to perform various medical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology and software systems.
- Team-oriented mindset with respect for diversity in the workplace.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Practical Nursing certificate (LPN) is necessary.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse in a primary health care environment is preferred.
- Experience with healthcare technology software is a plus.
