As one of the fastest growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we’re looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE PLANNER.
Our 1st Shift Schedule is Monday - Thursday from 6:30am – 5:00pm with daily and weekend extensions as needed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Spare Parts Inventory
- Inventory all spare parts on a regular basis and order to maintain min/max levels.
- Source suppliers based on needs; set up new suppliers as needed
- Request quotes from suppliers and source alternative suppliers to optimize product quality and cost
- Develop and maintain contacts with new and existing suppliers
- Any and all other tasks as identified and assigned by management.
Preventative Maintenance and Work Orders
- Schedule PM tasks and create W/O.
- Confirm the accurate completion of PM & W/O documents and report.
- Identify non-conforming entries or practices and initiate education and correction in response.
- Update all PM and W/O activity on the system.
- Manage automated and create instant PR to approve payment for all material purchased in support of Spare parts inventory, PM & W/O (Ongoing and Project Based)
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
- High school diploma/GED
- 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong PLC, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical/electronic, and industrial skills required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred.
- Able to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling/ mobile equipment in performing duties.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Must have a high level of motivation and attention to detail.
- Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be detail oriented.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, coolant and oils, moving mechanical parts and vibration. In addition, the employee is periodically exposed to elevated heights.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical requirements for this job directly reflect the essential functions necessary to be successful in this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing and sitting throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee will also need to adjust to changes in temperature and noise level.
