Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Dentist, you will:
- Provide comprehensive dental care to elderly patients, including routine exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and dentures.
- Conduct thorough oral health assessments and create personalized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on maintaining good oral hygiene and preventing dental issues specific to aging populations.
- Collaborate with facility care staff to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
- Adapt to the physical and cognitive needs of elderly patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- A current state dental license and other required certifications.
- Experience in geriatric dentistry or working with aging populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively with care teams.
