We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. Duties
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Perform account reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to manage financial data.
- Support payroll processing and ensure timely payment of employee wages.
- Generate financial reports and assist in financial report writing as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions for easy retrieval and review.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and QuickBooks Cloud.
- Experience with payroll processing is preferred.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or a related field is an advantage but not required.
