This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to step into a key leadership role at a dynamic and successful eCommerce company with approx 40 employees. As the HR Manager, you'll have the chance to shape and improve the people strategy, driving key initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. HR Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job openings to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process for hourly and salaried positions across multiple departments.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies that attract top talent in the eCommerce industry.
- Design and implement onboarding processes that set new hires up for success, ensuring all necessary documentation and training is completed, while maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS.
- Oversee the development of employee training programs, including ongoing learning and development initiatives that align with business goals, covering essential topics like workplace safety, discrimination, and harassment prevention.
- Administer and continuously refine performance management systems, working closely with managers to ensure fair evaluations, coaching, and support to help employees excel.
- Manage compensation structures and benefit plans, working with third-party vendors to deliver competitive offerings such as health insurance, PTO, and retirement plans.
- Drive compliance with employment laws and company policies, staying up to date with regulatory changes and ensuring adherence to both state (Florida) and federal guidelines.
- Handle sensitive employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and offboarding, providing guidance and support during exits and separation meetings.
- Generate key HR metrics and reports using the HRIS system, offering insights that guide leadership decisions on recruitment costs, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
- Review and draft employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal documents as needed, ensuring all documentation is aligned with company standards and legal requirements.
HR Manager Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager role.
- 2 years of experience managing and leading the hiring process, including recruiting for hourly roles and collaborating with managers.
- 2 years of experience in onboarding and offboarding employees, including creating and maintaining training programs for new hires and hiring managers.
- 2 years of experience using/managing HRIS/PEO software for payroll, record management, and employee data.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and executing HR policies, including payroll, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management programs.
- Proficient in managing third-party vendors for employee benefits, including health insurance, PTO, and retirement plans, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
- Skilled at creating, managing, and adjusting compensation structures to ensure fair and timely pay in compliance with employment laws.
- Capable of handling employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and exit processes, while ensuring a smooth offboarding experience.
- Ability to review, draft, and negotiate employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other HR-related legal documents.
- Experience in eCommerce or similarly fast-paced industries, working closely with department managers to support talent acquisition and business goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
- Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Ready to work on-site near West Palm Beach - located with 50 miles- or have a solid relocation plan in place.
