What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Assembly and Repair Supervisor position at Confidential-Manufacturing Company?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing shipments of sales orders, managing inventory for the department, timekeeping and scheduling in payroll system and daily oversight of assembly, testing and repair technicians. Routine activities include maintaining and updating all procedures and processes within assigned departments to maximize efficiencies, coordinating labor resources to achieve production goals and priority orders, working alongside and communicating with assigned team members, leadership, quality control, engineering and maintenance groups to ensure department procedures and processes are following company policy, and assuring the production of cost-effective quality parts.
Essential Duties:
- Talent Management: Selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Inspecting the condition of tools and equipment ensuring good condition for team to perform duties.
- Showing and requiring a high attention to detail on every job.
- Ability to understand and train employes in electronic circuit assembly and soldering (Through hole and surface mount components)
- Ability to calibrate, test and assist technicians with repair of circuit boards and power supplies where needed
- Overseeing correct usage of digital volt meters and other electronic testing equipment
- Managing customer service requests, providing information for quotes promptly and communicating and resolving issues on quotes with appropriate teams.
- Planning sales order production schedule and creating “jobs” based on promised ship dates, lead times, and inventory on hand.
- Managing inventory in warehouse including auditing, cycle-counting and working with Inventory and Purchasing to address stock variances or needs.
- Ensuring teams meet operational standards by aligning operations to strategic plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying
system improvements, assisting team members and management in solving problems.
- Transacting inventory in ERP system as it is moved to and from the warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related departments to complete jobs.
- Properly allocating materials in the system according to the actual quantity of components used on jobs.
- Picking, packing, drilling and/or cutting parts for jobs and sales orders when needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety and production guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience
· A minimum of 3 years’ supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
· Minimum of an associates degree in electronics, micro-electronics, or similar field
· Experience with micro electromechanical assembly production is preferred
· Ability to read and comprehend schematic drawings, bill of materials, job orders, work instructions, procedures, drawings, blueprints and wiring diagrams
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems/inventory control
· Ability to participate in discussions with Technicians and Engineers to resolve issues associated with the manufacturability, reliability and quality of the products
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong reading, writing and math skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement and respond to change.
- Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push and or pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand, or walk for up to 9 hours per day.
- Must have a clear background screen.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
