Service Manager opening in Marquette, MI. You would contribute to our overall vision by developing and maintaining trust with our customers that will build long-term relationships.
The Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department. The Manager will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Recruit, build, train, and maintain a quality service organization.
- Forecast sales, gross profit, and expenses.
- Direct & schedule the activities of department employees.
- Serve as liaison with factory representatives.
- Handle all customer complaints.
- Maintain highest possible standards of workmanship; advise technicians and advisors of dealership CSI on a monthly basis.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.
- Maintain reporting systems required by general management and the company.
- Ensure that all service department employees arrive and depart at established times and follow company policies and procedures.
- Collect accounts receivable for service work.
- Know and understand all the manufacturer’s warranty policy and procedures, working daily with technicians for timely submission and payment.
