What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Supervisor position at Congregational Home?
Congregational Home has an immediate opening for a Part-Time PM-Shift Nursing Supervisor. Hours of the PM shift are 2pm - 1030pm and days working would be Monday, Friday, and every other weekend. We offer industry-competitive wages and benefits, have consistent scheduling on a 2-week rotating basis and use NO AGENCY staff. We also provide Medication Assistants for our nurses, giving them time to focus on patient assessments and care!

Job Duties of the position include:
- Assesses and evaluates resident’s status by: creating & initiating Plan of Care, Regularly monitoring & re-evaluating resident needs, revising Plan of Care.
- Transcribes, initiates & sustains the implementation of orders for medications & treatments as prescribed by physician.
- Observes resident for changes in condition; reports these changes, as well as the resident’s needs to physician & appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
- Completes, maintains & timely submits accurate & relevant clinical notes/documentation regarding resident’s condition & care given. i.e. incident reports, narrative notes, summaries, treatment records, etc.
- Assists with admission/re-admissions & discharges as needed.
- Initiates & applies appropriate preventative, therapeutic & rehabilitative nursing procedures & techniques & maintains communication regarding resident care to physician, supervisory personnel, family/responsible party regarding residents’ issues/status as indicated.
- Supervises & delegates activities of CNA’s, CMA’s, MA’s & LPN’s.
- Assist in orienting new nursing staff by observing their practices, interpreting CONGREGATIONAL HOME policies and procedures, training, & coaching.
- Supervises mealtime & feeding of residents to maintain adequate nutrition & fluid intake.
Ideal candidates possess the following attributes:
- must hold a current RN license in the state of WI
- previous experience in a geriatric, long-term care facility preferred
- ability to work independently or with a team
- conducts oneself in a caring, sensitive and safe manner which promotes positive relations and rapport with residents and visitors
