Connect Staffing is looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join a freight forwarding company in Humble, TX!
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm
Accounts Payable Requirements
- Able to pass a background check and a drug screen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong ability to review and process invoices and payments accurately, minimizing errors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in roles such as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Billing Clerk, Payroll Clerk, Accounting Assistant and Finance Clerk is a big plus!

Accounts Payable Responsibilites:
- Review and verify invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approval before processing payments.
- Prepare and execute timely payments to vendors, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and address inquiries regarding payment status and account discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monthly statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and maintain an organized filing system.
- Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable, outstanding liabilities, and cash flow.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
