Role Summary:
As a Tooling Engineer, you will focus on designing and optimizing tooling for progressive stamping processes, utilizing SolidWorks to develop innovative and efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed tooling designs for progressive stamping processes using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets specifications and performance standards.
- Optimize tooling designs for cost, manufacturability, and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to tooling performance during prototyping and production.
- Drive improvements in tooling design processes, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Create and maintain precise 3D models and technical drawings for progressive stamping tools.
- Analyze project requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet production needs.
- Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to refine tooling designs.
- Test and evaluate tooling prototypes, incorporating adjustments for optimal performance.
- Research and implement advancements in tooling materials, design techniques, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience in progressive stamping tool design.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
