Continental Materials, Inc., is a 67-year young national supplier of roofing and building materials.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Product Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in driving the success of our product portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing product strategies that strengthen our market leadership position and ensure best-in-class product design and features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap in collaboration with domestic and international supplier partners. Define and implement product strategies to maximize market share and maintain a competitive edge.
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
- Product Development & Compliance: Oversee product development, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and approvals. Collaborate with code officials as needed. Create and maintain accurate product data sheets and specifications, including private label and dual logo products.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Work closely with sales teams to optimize the 'dual logo' process, implement cost reduction strategies, and drive growth of private label and dual logo products.
- Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with market dynamics and revenue goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively across all business functions (sales, marketing, engineering, etc.) to ensure alignment and achieve product objectives.
- Product Quality & Support: Evaluate and resolve product complaints, provide accurate installation guidelines, maintain up-to-date samples and literature, and verify loading and artwork for container shipments.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of system assemblies and roofing components.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Other: Ability to travel frequently and work independently. Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
