Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Core Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance of on-site facilities to include but not limited to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, General Repairs & other duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted on site.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members to address facility-wide maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and equipment and communicate needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age of 21 per Florida OMMU Regulations.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check per Florida OMMU Regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
- HVAC repair experience required; certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and non-mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocol.
- Driver’s License preferred.
- Forklift Certified preferred.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, this employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to lift heavy objects (50 lbs or more) safely.
- Position will include indoor and outdoor tasks during inclement weather, heat or cold.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position 5 – 8-hour days or 4 – 10-hour days this will include at minimum 1 weekend day. Nights can be required depending on emergencies or business needs.
