Position Summary
The Multi Store Director is responsible for overseeing and providing leadership of a group of Managing
Partners who are responsible for sales, growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, merchandising standards, recruitment, training and development of staff, and operations. The Multi Store Director position requires strong delegation, leadership and operational skills to effectively manage high level performance. They accomplish this by educating and communicating in a clear, positive and consistent manner, while coaching and training to attain a consistent positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Multi Store Director include but are not limited to:
Deliver: Customer Service and Sales
- Deliver an outstanding customer service culture by consistently executing the following key drivers: o Ensure stores are staffed and trained o Execute the S.A.L.E.S. process o Review OSAT results monthly with leadership o Execute the Monthly Marketing and Promotional Plan o Maintain planogram and inventory integrity o Execution of the One Costello’s Sign Program o Recommend marketing ideas and promotions when asked and on your own initiative o Visit competition regularly o Collaborate with Category Management (i.e. exit strategy, seasonal sell through, inventory concerns, etc.) o Drive a strong TSP/B2B sales culture o Ensure critical product classes and/or brands are ready for business to the highest standards o Assist with seasonal merchandising plans o Communicate directly with customers to collect feedback often. Quickly resolve customer issues when needed

Drive: Store Operations
- Consistently staff, plan and execute a Pinnacle/Platinum standard of store operations o Review Results: Retail Analytics Dashboard o Drive great In-stocks: Replenishment Processes o Ensure Mango is completed monthly o Review weekly store schedules with Managing Partner o Store are executing Standard Operating Procedures/Processes (LFO) o Develop strong leadership routines in stores o Cross Training to deliver consistent execution o Drive change and culture for continuous improvement o Promote a safe and secure work environment to ensure that all safety issues are documented, safety policies and procedures are followed and practiced o Complete Store visit checklist on every visit o Maintain company appearance standards o Basics of retailing/non-negotiables o Aisle Ownership Program and housekeeping
Drive: Profitable Sales
- Develop and create a culture of financial accountability with Store Leaders and team o Assist in the development of store’s sales and expense budgets and operating metric goals o Review Monthly P&L statements: Managing Partner and Leadership Team o Monitor and deliver payroll weekly o Manage inventory levels in collaboration with Category Management o Store backrooms, basements, top stock and outdoor storage areas are neat, clean and organized o Create culture of Inventory Control and Inventory Ready stores o Analyze and manage shrinkage based upon inventory results o Perform Operational Audits as per schedule and as needed
Develop: Leadership Teams
- Develop a high performing store leadership team that will efficiently deliver store standards and deliver profitable sales
- Coach and develop store leadership through Individual Development Plans
- Communicate annual goals and administer annual performance reviews to deliver high performance
- Create a culture of driving for results, ownership and total store accountability
- Hold people accountable by effective coaching, clear and candid conversations and Performance Improvement Plans
- Develop a culture of development, succession planning, career paths, and bench strength
- Develop a culture of retention o Lead District Trainer through weekly meetings
- Develop action plans for low and productive stores
- Prepare and conduct weekly conference call with team
- Execute corporate direction on a consistent basis across all stores
- Be proficient in all areas of store operations, merchandising, marketing, people development, and finance
Job Requirements
- Hold weekly calls with Multi Store Trainers
- Approximately 80% of time is spent in stores and with store leaders/staff
- Willingness to travel
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver license
Other Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Managing Partner or similar role
- Must be in good standing with Costello’s if actively employed
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience in a retail, product services, or related environment required
- Experience in multi-unit field management leadership
- Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Incredible interpersonal skills
