We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent Electrical Foreman to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of electricians on residential construction sites, ensuring that all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and to code. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the residential construction industry, with a focus on electrical systems. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical knowledge and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of electricians, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and to the highest standard.
2. Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints to plan and coordinate project work.
3. Inspecting and testing electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems, including issues with transformers and other equipment.
5. Monitoring electricians, promoting best practices for safety and quality control.
6. Preparing and submitting progress reports, including details of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
7. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrician or Construction Foreman, with a focus on electrical systems.
2. Proven experience leading and managing a team in a construction setting.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, wiring, and control systems.
4. Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
5. Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
7. High level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in challenging conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
