- Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes in accordance with US GAAP, Canadian GAAP, and IFRS.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Record bi-weekly payroll transactions and associated accruals.
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Group reporting requirements.
- Assist with external audits and tax return preparation.
- Handle HST/GST, Sales & Use Tax, and Fuel Tax filings.
- Perform additional accounting functions as required to support the finance team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within biofuels, oil & gas, or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, production cost accounting, inventory management, cost of goods sold, asset capitalization, and revenue recognition.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft GP (Great Plains).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
