What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Assistant/Floater Teacher position at Creative Kids?
We are looking for a part-time assistant/floater teacher to join our wonderful team! 12 ECE units required! Candidate must be able to work afternoons M-F until 6 PM.
Teachers at Creative Kids are responsible for creating a fun and loving environment while incorporating educational programs that are in line with the school's philosophy and assist in the children's development. Assistant/floater teachers spend their day assisting in multiple classrooms throughout the school. This is a great way to learn about the various age groups, participate in many different aspects of the classroom experience and learn from our experienced staff members. Candidate must be able to help with day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time, and rest time
Candidate must be a team player, partnering with other teachers and staff members to enhance the learning environment at school and maintaining positive and professional communication with parents. Qualifications and Skills Required:
- A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education semester units (ECE) or currently enrolled
- Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
- Excellent communication skills
If offered the position, you must provide:
- A current TB test
- Proof of immunity against Pertussis, Measles, and the Flu
- A background check and fingerprint clearance (as required by the Department of Social Services)
- CPR and First Aid certification
